Ms.
Young attended undergraduate school in
Ohio
and
California
, graduating with Bachelor of Science in Laws.
She received her Juris Doctor degree from Western State
University College of Law in May 1991 and was admitted to the
California Bar in December 1991; she was admitted to practice in U.S.
District Court that same month. Prior
to opening her own firm in 2000, she worked in management positions
with a major manufacturer for a number of years.
Besides
being a member of the State Bar of California, Ms. Young is a member
of the Orange County Bar Association, Los Angeles County Bar
Association, Southern California Council of Self-Insurers,
National
Consumer
Law
Center
, Orange County Bankruptcy Forum, and National Association of Consumer
Bankruptcy Attorneys. She
is Past President of the Western State University Alumni Association
Board of Directors, past Board member of the Orange County Barristers,
and a past member of the City of Corona (CA) Mayor’s Task Force.
She has volunteered at the Public Law Center and continues to
assist with charitable organizations throughout the year.
Her
experience in management and manufacturing add depth to her
understanding of the concerns facing employees and employers in
workers’ compensation and other employment-related matters. Ms.
Young fights for her client to get what is lawfully due to them,
providing guidance throughout the worker’s compensation process.
Her
experience in trusts and estates and bankruptcy help her relate to
circumstances when individuals and businesses find themselves in
unique and troubled times. After
reviewing the aspects of a client’s case, she assists them to
resolve their estate problems by structuring wills, trusts and other
documents to provide the smooth transition of the estate to the
beneficiaries. When debt
problems arise, she works hard to make sure they are resolved in a
timely and appropriate manner. She
offers personal attention and assistance to her clients in making
decisions about pursuing bankruptcy; and then continues to provide
guidance to keep the bankruptcy process as painless as possible,
giving people a fresh start and relief from harassing phone calls and
overwhelming debt.
